The postgraduates in the Dept of Neonatology are posted from the Dept. of Pediatrics and from the Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Residents in Pediatrics are posted for a total of 6 months: 3 months respectively in 2nd and 4th terms. During their rotation the are taught and provided hands on experience in managing normal newborns, well preterms as well as management of neonatal emergencies, critically ill babies and ventilator care.
Residents in Obstetrics are posted for a period of 2 months.
During this period they are taught and are provided hands on experience in normal newborn care, neonatal resuscitation, care of well preterm babies and OPD care of neonates.
Besides this there are 8 posts each of Registrar & House officers tenure posts of 6 months each.
