- Out-patient services: – The Neurosurgery OPD has an average attendance of about 150 patients per week. Patients are referred from all over Mumbai and it Suburban areas, however we cater to patients referred from all over Maharashtra as well as from the other states. OPD services are available Monday to Friday in the Afternoon 1:30 to 3.30 pm
- Surgical services: – In 2023, our Department proudly expanded with three fully equipped operation theatres, now located on the 4th floor of the new OPD building. This move significantly enhances the overall functionality and efficiency of our services. We now feature cutting-edge technologies, including a fully operational Neuro-navigation system, a Medtronic high-speed drill machine, and a high-end GE Anaesthesia workstation, all of which have greatly improved both our surgical capabilities and patient outcomes. Additionally, our department is home to an advanced Karl-Storz Endoscopy set, which includes specialized systems for skull base surgery, intra-ventricular brain endoscopy, and spine endoscopy. In fact, we are the only Neurosurgery Department in BMC hospitals offering spine endoscopy services. Furthermore, we are proud to have a state-of-the-art Endovascular Neurosurgery DSA Suite, where diagnostic and therapeutic Neuro DSA procedures are conducted almost daily. This has already provided immense benefits to numerous patients, and we have a comprehensive Neuro Stroke Centre to further enhance our care.
- UG and PG training: – The department trains PG students in the OPD and OT and also via classes, lectures, demonstrations, seminars etc.
