Special Activities

  1. The HIV testing and CD4 Testing Laboratory of the Department was accredited by NABL (National Accreditation Board of Laboratories) in June 2012. The laboratory was granted the continuation of accreditation in accordance with ISO 15189:2012 guidelines.
  2. CBNAAT System  (GenXpert) for extra-pulmonary and pulmonary samples
  3. Health care worker surveillance program: Routine Health care work up and Screening of Health Care Workers for occupational infections is done. Additionally all heath care workers are vaccinated against Hepatitis B.
  4. Safe I Practices: The hospital staff are trained for Safe I work practices as per NABH guidelines for infection control and HAI registers are updated in ICUs.
